Cab to Axle Modifications

A lot of times the chassis of the truck must be modified to fit different sizes of bodies.

The Cab-to-Axle dimension is very important for safe weight distribution of the chassis and load.  This dimension determines where the axle should be placed under the body to ensure 60% of that load is ahead of the axle.

Often when buying a used chassis the cab to axle dimension is too long or too short for the body you are planning to install.
